Rahul Gandhi’s 6200-km ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra’ to start from Manipur

Imphal: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee is gearing up for Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra,’ stretching across a substantial 6200-km route from strife-ridden Manipur to Mumbai. Scheduled to traverse 14 states and 85 districts, this journey aims to address economic, social, and political justice concerns for the nation.
Set to commence on January 14, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will inaugurate the Yatra from Imphal. Joining Rahul Gandhi on this march are esteemed figures such as K Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh, party MPs, current and former chief ministers, legislators, intellectuals, and social activists.
The Yatra signifies a quest to heal the long-standing conflicts within the country, particularly focusing on Manipur as its starting point, a region grappling with ongoing turmoil for over seven months. This initiative follows Rahul Gandhi’s previous ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra,’ spanning 4500 km from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, advocating unity and love.
Ningombam Bupenda Meitei, MPCC senior spokesperson, while expressing happiness over launching of the Yatra from Manipur, said the people of the state are heartily waiting for Rahul.
“What a great day today to hear from @kcvenugopalmp ji and @Jairam_Ramesh ji in announcing the continuing #BharatJodoYatra @bharatjodo from Manipur to Mumbai,” tweeted Bhupenda.
“The entire people of Manipur and the lakhs of @INCManipur workers are heartily waiting for @RahulGandhi ji in Manipur,” he said, adding that the exact location from which the Yatra would be flagged off and other key aspects like routes are to be finalized very soon.
The AIFC vice chairman, (All India Fishermen Congress), Bupenda said that MPCC is keeping constant touch with AICC to ensure BNY begins with grand success.
Maintaining close coordination with the All India Congress Committee (AICC), the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee is striving for a resounding launch of the ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra’ whose detailed arrangements and the precise starting location of the Yatra, as well as its routes, are expected to be finalized shortly.
